Lucifer, Unbound! is my take on the verse play, The Golden Legend by henry Wadsworth Longfellow. I was fascinated that it wsa written to be experienced by the reader in their armchair at home and not in a theater, as the images conjured-up are for the mind’s eye, and in this case, for the mind’s ear. The tale has been shortened; arcane phrases have been replaced by simpler ones-hopefully the listener will not be able to tell where the changes occur.
